Day 16 - 3 December - Part II

The last little bit from Singapore! We ended the day at the Long Bar at the Raffles Hotel. The Long Bar was where the Singapore Sling was created ... so naturally, we had to have one. We got the waiter to take our picture ... looking happy enough ... until we got the bill! The slings were $20 sing dollars each (about $USD 14.50)! They see the tourists coming a mile off! And don't worry, Bob, these won't find their way onto the expense statement!! But it was worth it to say you had a sling where it was created! Lastly, the Christmas tree in the hotel lobby! Strangely enough, it doesn't feel like Christmas ... it looks like Christmas ... but it doesn't feel it. I guess it's the warm temperatures, being so far away from home, and having time in general pass so quickly that it just can't be December. Anyway, will pick back up soon from Malaysia.
