Days 15-16 --- December 2-3

Today was a Christmas shopping day --- so cannot reveal a lot! :) But suffice it to say ... it was productive! It also was a cultural day --- attending both the Museum of Asian Civilizations and the National Museum of Singapore! It was the re-opening day of the National Museum of Singapore --- after being closed for a number of years ! We just happened upon it and met Choon Noi --- a TI Singapore co-worker and her family there --- also attending the reopening! Afterwards, we went to a microbrewery on the Riverpoint with them --- having some late afternoon snacks --- and then on to our separate ways --- "dinner" being a shared Reuben sandwich --- before heading to the movies --- seeing "Casino Royale"! Going to the movies in Asia is a whole different experience! First, you cannot begin seating until five minutes until the feature begins ... they sell sweet popcorn ... you have assigned seats ... nobody shows up until one minute before ... and everyone swarms into the theater... logically of course ... since they know their seats! They don't talk --- even during the previews! My kind of movie audience! Only thing wrong was no stadium seating --- and I just knew the tallest Asian ever would sit in front of me (my family knows how picky I am about movie seating!!) But, as luck would have it ... I was safe! It was the strangest James Bond movie --- even in English! But, it was so funny ... to watch a movie in English with the Chinese subtitles at the bottom of the screen! It was like going to see a foreign movie in English!! How funny! And, then, when the movie was over (about 11:00 pm) ... you exited to the outside ... regardless of how much you had to pee or not! I about died! How I miss the Legacy ... the Angelika ... salty popcorn!!
