Thanksgiving Night -2006

Thanksgiving dinner was quite an event! First, it was raining hard enough to queue up the taxi stands enough that a taxi wait was out of the question! You have to remember there are millions of people in this city --- which I tend to forget until I step out on the street! So, we went on another adventure --- except this time in the accompaniment of a native --- Anderson Gui! This adventure was a trip to a dining district ---via Shanghai subway! I have never seen so many people crammed into such a small space --- ever! Literally, you were looking eye-to-eye --- with this time --- people my size! I had to hang on to Anderson and Debi for dear life! But once we arrived at the Crystal Garden, life was great! We had for our Thanksgiving dinner --- pork cracklings, noodles in peanut sauce, mandarin beef, pork dumplings, spring rolls, crispy fish, spinach dumplings in beef broth, spinach/greens in a garlic dressing, and red bean curd crepes for dessert --- all with Tsing Tsao beer ( you can't trust the water! :))

We miss you all particularly so at this time of year ... but know you remember us. We'll be there next year!
